Jenny Lind Trunk

• Jenny Lind Trunk. Circa 1850's (28 x 16 x 17 inches)  Gracefully curved, hour glass shaped rare brass bound Jenny Lind trunk in exceptional original condition. Ornate brass lock, original inner lid compartment and fancy tooled exterior.  $1,695.00

History:  These trunks were named after Jenny Lind. She was the most popular singer of the 1800's. "The Swedish Nightingale"  When she came to America for her two year concert tour she had trunks that were made in London.  These were copied by American trunk makers 1850 - 1865. These are some of the rarest and most sought after trunks due to thier beauty and history.
